Happy new year, Mexico, and all that jazz

No comment. I was this happy all the time. And 2012 WILL ROCK! My new years resolution is to watch the sunset every day. That´s how much it will rock.

It´s beginning to look a lot like.... ¿christmas?

Yesterday I got this feeling of winter and festivities. Which I guess you do if you start your day in a pub called Underground watching a soccer game and sipping beer. Right? And it was SNOWING in Hermosa! Look!

See, there in the background. Snowfest they called it. Snowboarders jumping around and kids marvelling at melting spots of gray snow. I´ve seen a lot of snow before, so we went to the pier and spexed around in the cold sun instead.

I was pretending to be in a movie. It would have been called "Love boat: Don´t let the sun go down on me". Or in Spanish: "El barco de amor: La puesta del sol". Or something like that.

Then we looked at Santa and Santa´s little hooker, sorry, helper.

Nobody wanted to sit in Santa´s lap, besides me, but Pabs wouldn´t let me. Went to get another beer instead.

Don´t be fooled by the palmtrees and the sunset, it was getting very chilly. So we went home, had some more beer, and played Spotify-Scrabble. Christmas can come now, I´m ready. Oh, have I mentioned that we´re going to Mexico for christmas? I have? Ok.

Sunset from the inside

For when watching the sun set in the Pacific gets boring. Watch it on your wall instead.

Another breathtaking sunset

Spent the whole day at the beach, and I mean the whole day; from a little after ten until the sun set. Listening to Ricky Gervais podcasts (HOW funny is Karl Pilkington? I need to watch An idiot abroad) and reading some Hemingway! Couldn't be better. And we get beautiful sunsets when there are some clouds, so I just couldn't leave until the show was over; although I was freezing my ass of for the last hour, even with pants, a cardigan and a huge scarf wrapped around me. Need a warm shower!

Always somewhere else

I'm sitting here reading about Zipolite in Mexico, wishing I was there, on the beach watching the sunset. I lift my head and see this:

Talk about not being present.

Loving the view from my couch right now

It's so beautiful when the sun has just set. And I still can't believe I have a palm tree right outside the window. Not to mention the Pacific. Now you might think I'm some fancy ass drinking fancy wine on a Thursday night, but I can assure you that it's just some dead cava I found laying around in the fridge. Somebody had to drink it.

Take a bow

Absolutely beautiful sunset here in Hermosa tonight, with a rainbow thrown in as a bonus (unfortunately not a double rainbow, though)

Sunset station

(Warning for many sunset pics, and more of me on a bike)
We took our bikes up to Manhattan last night, as the sun was setting and everything was drenched in this soft, warm light... amazing.

Somebody just got married! This is definitely the way to do it... Javi&Ana! The playa in Altea...?

We stopped for a bit to watch the last slice of sun disappear in the Pacific. When I watch the sun go down here, I always imagine it rises in Norway... Which is probably not true. Or could it be? What time does the sun rise over there now?

Pit stop for a glass of tinto, which ended up with dinner, at Mangiamo.

Passed the beach-wedding on the way back

Don't let the sun go down on me

Nice chill Friday on the rooftop... and first sunset after being here for over a month. I know, shame on us!
... and then some italian grub. Not the best ever, but cosyschmosy place. AND, you actually get to bring your own wine?! This seems to be a common thing around here, still eludes me. You won't hear me complaining though. I'll just carry a chataux margaux with me and cork it up whenever the occasion arises.
