Semi-raw dinner

I can not believe how cold it is here right now... I´m sitting glued to the tiny little oven we have to heat us up. My feet are ice. But that´s not news I guess. Anyway, last night I made this SURPRISINGLY good dinner. Squash pasta with macadamia and tomato sauce. It took me two minutes to make. Just take a squash and a carrot and make "tagliatelle" with a potato peeler.

The macadamia sauce is just a handfull of macadamia nuts with lemon, sea salt, pepper and basil thrown into a blender. Since I wanted something warm, I heated up some tomato sauce and mixed it in there. Voila.

The warm tomato sauce kind of cooked the squash so it actually felt like I was eating real-life spaghetti. I am so amazed at this dish, really. You have to try it. Healthy, quick, GOOD. You´re welcome.

Pizza snack

They do actually taste a bit like pizza... hmmmm. If you like dry, tiny pizzas with seeds. No really. They're good!

light lunch, hot day

It's hot here in South Bay today (again! yippee!), actually a LOT warmer than when we got here in July and I was worried about the weather... I'm not worried anymore. I'll just leave the knitted jackets I started panic-stocking up on last month in the closet a bit longer and hang out with my flipflops for now.
This is the perfect, improvised, light lunch on days like these. I just threw together some cucumber, apple, pumpkin seeds, brazil nuts and macadamia nuts, a little sea salt and a drizzle of coconut oil. Yumms! You have to try this! Superfresh. Now, it's beach time.

In my basket

Stocked up on some goodies from Whole Foods, including raw bars from two moms in the raw (eating a piece as we speak, they are deliiiiicious) that I wrote about here. Other favourites from this shelf are the chocolates, the granola and the kale chips (easy to make at home, but the cheesy ones are oh so yummy I can't resist to sneak one in my basket). Everything without sugar, milk, flour... or anything heated above 46 degrees celsius. Super candy!

Some fresh kale and acrylic paint on that, and the evening is complete! I was also juggling a huge canvas I got from the art supply store, while trying to keep my bike straight, multo dangeroso. But I felt so happy looking down at my basket and my flappering canvas, because all of a sudden I realised that I'm actually lucky enough to do whatever I feel like doing everyday, and if that isn't happiness, then I don't know <3

La-la land Day 3 - Crazy for chlorella

WHOLE FOODS. It's a blessing of a supermarket! They have whole shelves with superfoods, greens, raw food, organic veggies, vitamins, coconut water... Ended up spending 100 dollars, to P's delight. Was told I couldn't do the weekly shopping here. Hm, I wonder why. I WANT TO BE RICH
